Toy Tuesday: Rabbit Vibrators

Oh hello, out there! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and not so rough start to your Monday. Can you guys believe it's going to be May already? As April comes to a close, I thought I would dedicate this Toy Tuesday to a certain cuddly festive animal. A certain creature known for bringing joy to small children, and one who continues to do so as we grow up, in a very different way.

Today's Toy: Rabbit Vibrators

Appearing in the 1990s, this toy's creation is credited to California Exotic Toys, and exploded in popularity after being featured on Sex and the City. A Godsent to some, Rabbits are popular due to their ability to stimulate both internally and externally. Sorry, guys, this toy is just for the ladies, but it can still be enjoyed by both.

Silly Rabbit, you are for girls!

  • Standard realistic: This is the basic, original design. The S.R. looks like a basic dildo with a battery pack at the bottom and a protruding clitoral stimulator, normally shaped like a rabbit (hence the name). Most models look like the standard design, with a few variations for different sensations.
  • Rotary beaded: Similar to the S.R., with the inclusion of rotating beads in the shaft. This has become a pretty popular model; I've sold more of these than any other Rabbit style.
  • Non-realistic: For those a little nervous about realistic looking vibrators, this variation is the toy for you. They perform the exact same function as it's mushroom tipped comrade, but are much more demure and aesthetically pleasing. If you are willing to spend a little more money on your toys (which should always be the case if you can), then Lelo is the brand for you.
  • G-Spot: I briefly mentioned these models in my previous post on G-spot Vibrators. Again, it's design is specifically made to hit a woman's cum trigger more effectively. You can find realisitc or non realistic versions with all the bells and whistles it's straight counterparts have, the only difference is it's curved tip.
  • Triple Teaser: Ever the over-achievers, triple teasers are proof of the sex industry's insatiable desire to improve upon an already great design. This model is pretty self explanatory; it stimulates clitorally, vaginally, and anally simultaneously.

The do's and don't's of Rabbit use aren't really applicable here. There isn't necessarily a right or wrong way to use the toy; it's pretty easy to figure out. My main piece of advice is to be relaxed when you use it and switch hands if you get tired (those things get heavy!) Also, you can either use it on yourself, a female partner, or have your partner use it on you. Other than that, just lay back and enjoy!

If you follow my blog, you may know how to care for your toys by now; warm water and antibacterial soap. If you wanted a more detailed explanation by material and toy type, here's a, hopefully, helpful post. Rabbits, similar to other vibrators/dildos, come in an array of different materials including silicone, jelly, rubber, latex, and glass, so there are plenty of ways to care and store all of them.

If you're already a fan of these toys or a complete novice, hopefully this helps you find the right type for you. Now hop along and find a bunny of your own.

P.S. Here's a bunny for the fellas so they don't feel left out. Don't say I don't think of you guys.

Difficulty to use:
I wouldn't say it's difficult, as it is tiring after a while. If you've had sex before, you pretty much know what to do with it. If you haven't, it's not that difficult to figure out; I believe in you. I suggest playing with the features before you actually use it though,  that way you know what settings and speeds you like beforehand. It can save you some awkward manoeuvring during the deed.

Versatility:
Realistic. Aesthetic. Curved. Straight. Ridged. Nubbed. Single Speed. Multispeed. Pulsating. Beaded. Smooth. Wireless. Remote controlled. Speed knob. Silicone. Jelly. Glass..
You get the idea. With dozens of varying features, speeds, and pulse settings, it's hard not to find a rabbit that fits your needs. Although the basic design is the same, for the most part, there is a toy out there for you.

My Rating:
This rating and review is based upon Rabbits in general, as well as Pipedream's Thumper vibe from their WOW! Line.

Another first for me! This is my first experience with a rabbit, and I feel a little mixed about it. I don't normally use anything internally, not to mention the Thumper is pretty big, so at first it felt a little strange. I need a lot of clitoral stimulation, so I wasn't a huge fan of the rabbit ear design. I'd prefer something with a flatter tongue that could hit my spot more directly.
That being said, I love how smooth the silicone felt, and clean up was so easy. The Thumper had plenty of pulsating settings for the clit stimulator, including three different speeds, and the shaft had three pumping speeds, which I liked. I would probably like to try a rotating bead model next, but all in all, I liked it and the product is very well made. I would definitely recommend any models from their WOW! line. Four lips for the Thumper, 3.5 for rabbits in general.
